Moreover, AAU hosts the Centre for Problem Based Learning in Engineering Science and Sustainability, which is a category 2 centre under the auspices of UNESCO since 2013.
The participants at this project belong to three sections conducting cutting‑edge research on water purification technologies: Section of Chemistry (AAU-CH) Section of Chemical Engineering (AAU-CE), and Section of Biology and Environmental Science (AAU-BE).
